- Apple has announced the release of their OS X Beta Seed Program today, which allows anyone with an Apple ID and a Mac to download and run the latest developer build of Mac OS X 10.9.3—the most updated beta version of Mavericks. The OS X Beta Seed Program allows us to run software that was once only available to limited test audiences or registered Apple developers—with the latter costing.
- Step 4: Install Mac OS X Mavericks — Navigate back to the App Store and click the Free Upgrade button in the top-right corner of the Updates panel to download the necessary software.
- First of all you need to create Boot disk or USB Drive which will allow you to install OS X into a DVD or a USB drive directly. To create the image, use any software available on internet such as the free Unibeast. The Mac program will modify the official OS X installer and then install it on a USB drive.
The version of macOS that came with your Mac is the earliest version it can use. For example, if your Mac came with macOS Big Sur, it will not accept installation of macOS Catalina or earlier.
If a macOS can't be used on your Mac, the App Store or installer will let you know. For example, it might say that it's not compatible with this device or is too old to be opened on this version of macOS. To confirm compatibility before downloading, check the minimum hardware requirements:
